We are delighted to announce that EFRS 2026 – the 10th International Iron and Steel Symposium will take place at the İzmir Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center on June 11–12, 2026, under the theme “Digital Steel for a Greener World.” The event will once again bring together industry leaders, professionals, and experts to strengthen social and professional networks within the steel community.

This year’s symposium will take a comprehensive look at how the steel industry can advance toward a sustainable future through digitalization and green transformation. Key discussions will explore low-carbon production, the European Green Deal, resource supply challenges, the modernization of scrap-based and integrated facilities, and the growing demand for high-quality raw materials. Participants will also examine how digitalization, big data, artificial intelligence, and robotics are reshaping the industry, as well as the implications of the ongoing energy crisis on future investment strategies.
